TREASURE ISLAND ELECTIONS:
NO ELECTION MARCH 11, 2009

WHAT: The General Municipal Election for Tuesday, March 10, 2009 is cancelled.
ON THE BALLOT: Candidates running for Mayor and Commissioners in District 1 and 3 filed papers and are unopposed. To be sworn into office on March 17th are: Bob Minning, Mayor; Phil Collins, District 1 Commissioner; Carol Coward, District 3 Commissioner.

WHERE: All elections are held between the hours of 7am and 7pm in accordance with state law and all districts vote in the Treasure Island Community Center located at One Park Place.

CANDIDATE QUALIFYING: Anyone interested in becoming a candidate in must live within the district he/she wishes to run. The Mayor, who is elected at large, may live anywhere within the City. All candidates must be registered electors of the City. Qualifying for candidacy ended at noon on January 2, 2009. Qualifying papers are available in the office of the City Clerk.
