The Treasure Island Fire Department provides first response to fire, emergency medical, and hazardous condition incidents. Our Department recruits and trains full-time career officers and volunteers, maintains the station and equipment, The Treasure Island Fire Department is equipped with two modern Class A 1250 gpm pumpers, a new 4-wheel drive quick response rescue vehicle, 4-wheel drive utility vehicle, 4-wheel drive fire chief’s vehicle, portable pump trailer, and a beautifully restored 1927 American LaFrance pumper.
In addition to our own department staff and equipment, an automatic aid agreement with all other fire departments in the county provides TI with an engine and ladder truck from neighboring departments on all first alarm structure fire responses. Response to EMS calls is made using our own on-duty personnel in a rescue vehicle. Additional on-duty personnel remain at the station for response with the engine to assist rescue personnel or to respond to additional calls. Sunstar, the county's ambulance contractor, provides patient transportation to a medical facility, if required.
