	BRIDGE CLOSURES THIS WEEK New hydraulic system testing requires the TI Causeway Bridge to be closed to vehicular traffic one night this week. The closure is Thursday, May 16th from 11pm to 5am Friday morning, May 17th.
	ONE LANE TRAFFIC ON PALMS BRIDGE Construction on the new Isle of Palms Bridge on 112th Avenue began on Monday, May 6th with switchover to one lane of traffic, using signal lights on both sides of the bridge. This work is expected to run through the end of November 2013 when both the Palms and the Capri bridges are to be completed.
	CHANGES IN FLOOD INSURANCE Congress passed the Flood Insurance Reform Act of 2012 which will mean rate increases for many policyholders over time. The new law eliminates some artificially low rates and discounts which are no longer sustainable. The long form document is here and a summary is here.
	RECLAIMED WATER RULES TAKE EFFECT The seasonal restrictions for reclaimed water are in effect until June 30th. Watering is prohibited between 10am and 4pm. If your house number ends in an even number water on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. If your house number ends in an odd number water on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
	CAPRI, PALMS BRIDGE WORK SCHEDULE The big Manitowoc 777 crane has moved into its new home on Isle of Capri as the bridge replacement project gets underway. Work on the Isle of Palms bridge won't begin in earnest until later this spring. Click here for details, and here for the pdf of the bridge plans.
