Can you dig it? Treasure Island needs a few volunteers for a sea oat planting
on Saturday, October 27th at two locations: the 124th Avenue beach
access and at The Island Inn, 9980 Gulf Boulevard. Bring a shovel

Palm tree disease making a
comeback An old disease involving palm trees is apparently
creeping back into Florida. There have been three suspected cases of
either Lethal Yellowing or Texas Phoenix Palm Decline in
Treasure Island this year. The City of Treasure
Island Groundskeeping Division of Public Works is inoculating about
150 palm trees this week as a precaution against the spread of these

Beach water advisory remains in effect for Treasure
Island The Pinellas County Health
Department has issued an advisory for the water along Treasure
Island beach after tests indicated a slightly elevated presence of
enteric bacteria, which may come from storm-water runoff, pets,
wildlife and sewage. The water could be a potential health risk to

TITV15 becomes TITV615 on December
11th Come December 11th, Bright House
analog cable subscribers in Treasure Island will lose TITV15. And
for the majority of viewers watching on digital cable, those
channels representing public access, educational and the government
will move from their current spot in the teens to a channel way up
