Treasure Island “lights up” WiFi network July
4th Log on from
your lounge chair and browse from the beach? It’s now possible in
Treasure Island with the Citi WiFi Networks new wireless internet
connection. Citi WiFi high-speed internet goes live and online
Wednesday, July 4, 2007 covering Gulf Boulevard and the beaches from
Caddy’s on the Beach to Gator’s on John’s
Pass.
When
do you water? Match the last number of
your house number to the day of the week and turn on the sprinklers.
No watering between 8am and 6pm,
though.
Treasure Island reinforces ban on illegal
fireworks Illegal fireworks cause fires, injuries and leave
behind a real mess on our beaches and streets, unnecessarily
burdening our sensitive marine environment. And an $88 fine for
illegal fireworks is not much holiday fun, either. Let the pros
handle the fireworks!

Common ground for beach
dunes
The City
Commission recently adopted a beach maintenance area which provides
for a no-rake buffer zone around the existing dunes to grow
naturally again. Those areas of the beach away from the dunes will
continue to be maintained by the TI Public Works in the form of
raking and the bi-monthly volunteer beach clean-ups. Click here for the
dune maintenance map.
