Commission sets Tentative Millage Rate at
2.3878
Property owners will pay $2.3878
per $1,000 of taxable value, a reduction of 9.1% from FY 2006-07
millage rate of 2.6272. The tentative millage rate meets the mandate
by the Florida Legislature to reduce property taxes by 9% (in the
case of Treasure
Island).
TIPD to step up enforcement of red light
violations
Florida
ranks near the top for intersection crashes and a third of those are
caused by running red lights. TIPD officers will be on the look-out for red light
runners during Stop On Red Week August 4th thru the 11th.

re-opens Wednesday
evening
Almost-finished,
on-schedule final touches to the new Treasure Island
Causeway Bridge required a three-day closure
that will end with the bridge reopening
Wednesday, August 1st
at
6pm.

Saturday, August 25, 2007, Treasure Island celebrates
the official opening of the new Treasure
Island C.W. “Bill” Young Bascule Bridge with a
community boat parade. Boaters wishing
to be part of the parade should contact parade leader
