Summer's kickoff with the symphony

Tryin' to reason with hurricane season
Hurricane season starts Friday, June 1st. Hunker down online before we hunker down for a storm with Treasure Island's online Hurricane Preparedness Guide. You'll find preparation checklists, safe havens and lots of information sources to help you reason with the season.

Best five dollars you'll ever spend
When (not if) we evacuate for a hurricane, you'll want to be able to get back to your home as soon as possible. How to tell the real residents from the looky-loos? Use your TI Beach Parking Pass - it's a valid re-entry pass to the island. On sale to TI residents only at city hall for just $5.

Bridge closes early Thursday
The TI Causeway Bridge closes at 7am Thursday, May 24th for a concrete pour on the drawbridge deck. The bridge will be closed to traffic until 4pm. If you're out on Boca Ciega Bay this holiday weekend, the channel at the bridge is open at half-width. The bridgtender can be called on Channel 9.

For some, the holiday trash collection schedule next week is an exciting break in their routine: The garbage goes out to the curb one day later than usual!
For the rest of us, it's just one more thing to remember: The trash goes out to the curb one day later than usual. Next week, Monday trash day is Tuesday and Tuesday is Wednesday.
