Can you dig those sea oats? You sure can!

Once again, we’re planting sea oats seedlings on Treasure Island beaches in an effort to successfully restore the remarkable sand-saving qualities of our beach dunes. You can help, Saturday morning, February 16th beginning at 9am. Bring a shovel and meet at the 126th Avenue parking lot in Sunshine Beach. In a few short months, a set of healthy, new sand dunes begin to appear where you helped plant. Dunes naturally prevent beach erosion and beautify of greatest Treasure Island asset—our magnificent beach. Volunteer details at 727-547-4575 ext. 247.
