Auto & Residential Burglaries
Tuesday, May 25, 2010

The Treasure Island Police Department is investigating several burglaries which occurred recently.  These included both automobile and residential burglaries.  In one case, a handgun was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

It is recommended that residents keep their homes and vehicles secure as most burglaries occur to unlocked locations.  It is also advised that residents do not keep firearms stored in an unoccupied vehicle as the recurrence for use in future crimes is highly likely.

The recent incidents have occurred in the northern parts of the city (Lagoon and Sunshine Lanes), as well as the Isle of Palms.

If anyone has knowledge or information regarding these incidents, please contact the Treasure Island Police Department
at 727-547-4595 or e-mail police@mytreasureisland.org with any information regarding these incidents.
