On Sunday, October 10, 2010, at 6:15 p.m.,
Treasure Island Police Officers responded to a reported hit
and run traffic crash on the John’s Pass Bridge.
Officers conducted an investigation and learned the
following:
Alyson C. Antonicelli, age 47, of New
Cumberland, PA, was driving northbound on Gulf Blvd. in a
silver 2010 Hyundai Accent. Antonicelli stopped for a
red light on the approach to the bridge as the bridge tenders
were preparing to open the bridge spans.
An
unknown, small black vehicle struck the rear of Antonicelli’s
stopped vehicle, causing significant damage to both
vehicles. After the collision, the small black vehicle
continued northbound on Gulf Blvd before the gate could
close. Antonicelli stated to investigators that the
suspect vehicle may have been operated by a female
driver.
Antonicelli was transported to the
hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries and
later released. Antonicelli was the only occupant of the
Hyundai.
