Grand Theft & Residential Burglary

The Treasure Island Police Department is investigating two grand thefts and a residential burglary. The perpetrators of these crimes may have accessed the victims’ properties from the water.
On July 13, 2010, a resident of Isle of Capri reported a burglary and the theft of a ceramic “frog” planter, valued at $350.00. The large blue and green planter was last seen on July 12, 2010 in the stairwell leading to a boat dock. On July 14, 2010, a resident of Isle of Palms reported the theft of an 18 foot, red “ocean” kayak. The two-seat kayak was taken from a boat dock, located behind the residence and was last seen on July 13, 2010. The kayak has two black plastic seats and two black plastic “T” handles, located at each end. The kayak is valued at $500.00.
