The Treasure Island Police Department is investigating the theft of a red, 2006 Club Car XRT 950. The vehicle is a 2 wheel drive, gas powered utility style motorized cart, valued at approximately $5000.00. The vehicle was stolen from the 12700 block of Treasure  Island Beach sometime between 5:00 PM on August 2, 2010 to 6:30 AM on August 03, 2010.
Investigation reveals that the ignition was bypassed, and the vehicle was moved off the beach in the Gulf Front Park, located at 10400 Gulf Blvd. Investigators believe that the vehicle was loaded onto a trailer or truck at that location.
