The Treasure Island Police Department is investigating several reports of fraudulent door-to-door activity on Isle of Capri.

Victims have identified a local Treasure Island resident as the alleged perpetrator in a Scheme to Defraud. The suspect is a 35 y/o white male, short “crew cut” style brown hair, clean shaven, 5’ 8”, 170 lbs.
Three victims report that the suspect has been going door to door, and in one case approached a victim in their vehicle, and asked for money. The suspect provided information to the victims in one case, implying that he was locked out of his home and needed money to contract with a locksmith. In each case, the suspect stated to the victims that he would repay them later that day.
