nThe Treasure Island Causeway Bridge The Treasure Island Causeway Bridge will be closed Tuesday, August 21 from 7am to 7pm and Wednesday, August 22 from 7am to 7pm as construction on the new causeway bridge heads into the home stretch.
Closing notifications are sent to subscribers of Treasure Island’s e-notification system. Motorists should pay close attention to the Causeway Message Boards and Treasure Island residents can see closure information on TITV15.
Opening ceremonies begin at 10am on Saturday, August 25, 2007 on the east side of the bridge.
nThe navigation channel at the causeway bridge is open with restrictions (see below):
Construction work through August 2007 at the Treasure Island Causeway Bridge will affect the accessibility of the channel to boaters. A number of construction activities, progressing concurrently, will partially or completely close the channel during daylight hours.
Mariners requesting information on the status of channel accessibility can call the Treasure Island Causeway Bridge Tender Control Room on channel 9.
