The City of Treasure Island’s Treasure Bay Golf and Tennis facility has been recognized as a Sticks for Kids Community through the National Recreation and Parks Association and the Golf Course Builders Association of America.  The City received ten (10) free sets of juniors golf clubs from US Kids Golf to provide our golf professional and facility with the equipment and resources for junior golf programming.
The Sticks for Kids Community is responsible for introducing youth ages 6-18 years old to the game of golf by utilizing the clubs to incorporate golf into recreation programming such as golf camps; clinics; tournaments and special events. Also, by incorporating golf as part of the recreation department programming, the game of golf is being recognized and introduced as a lifetime sport, which contributes to a healthily and active lifestyle for our youth.
For additional information on the City of Treasure Island’s Junior Golf Program at the Treasure Bay Golf and Tennis facility, please call (727) 360-6062.
