Request for Proposals - Building Department Services

Deadline: March 6, 2020 by 2pm
The City of Treasure Island is seeking the services of a qualified and experienced firm(s) to provide Building Department Services. Such responsibilities shall be under the direction of the firm’s full-time Building Code Administrator and will include the daily oversight of all Building Department operations to include: issuance of permits, building plan review and inspection services in accordance with the requirements of Florida Statutes, current Florida Building Code, and the City Code of Ordinances.
Sealed Bids may be delivered or mailed to City of Treasure Island City Hall, 120 108th Ave., Treasure Island, FL 33706 to the attention of the Purchasing Coordinator – Michael Munger, or submitted online via DemandStar. All delivered/mailed bids must include: one (1) version with original signature and one (1) additional digital (PDF) version of the original, and must be received at the due date and time. Bidders submitting via DemandStar do not need to submit original hard copies, must submit all requirements online, and must submit before the stated closing date. 


Invitation to Bid - Debt Issuance for Purchase and Renovation of City Hall
Deadline: February 11, 2020 at 3 pm
The City is seeking proposals from banks to provide a fixed rate loan of $8,000,000 to the City. The City will use the loan proceeds to finance the acquisition of an existing building and associated land, and the design, renovation, expansion, and equipping of such building to be used for City Hall purposes including, without limitation, a community room. The Loan will be tax-exempt, and the issue is eligible for a bank-qualified rate, if applicable. The City will select the financing proposal that provides the lowest net interest cost to the City, in accordance with the City’s Charter.

Request for Qualifications - City Hall Design Services

Deadline: February 26, 2020 at 2 pm
The City of Treasure Island is accepting Statements of Qualifications from qualified
Architectural/Engineering firms—or teams of architectural and engineering firms—for the complete design services of the facility located at 10451 Gulf Boulevard Treasure Island. This property is being purchased to house all City Hall departments to include Public Works Administration and a City Commission Chambers Room, as well as provide for a community room rental space(s). It is foreseen that this project will help to establish the City’s character with a look and feel that can be carried through to other upcoming projects, which are not included in the scope. The chosen firm will have the opportunity to shape these future initiatives though their final design of City Hall, and set the tone for future redevelopment based on the successful outcome of this project.
