Pizza in the Parks

TI residents invited to Park Planning & Pizza
To hear what Treasure Island residents have to say about their neighborhood parks, and then develop future park plans, the Treasure Island Parks & Recreation Department is inviting residents to "Park Planning & Pizza," a series of three pizza parties around the city. The first "PP&P" is set for Wednesday, April 3rd at 6:30 at the Treasure Island Community Center, 1 Park Place & 106th Avenue. Free child care is available.

Part of the city's  "Big Picture" Master Park Plan, the pizza parties are designed for residents to have an informal conversation with the city staff to create a community-supported map to make decisions on improving and expanding parks, recreation facilities and spaces. The Recreation Department will also conduct interviews with stakeholders, focus groups, and park users and distribute a community survey online.

Two other "Park Planning & Pizza" parties are set for Saturday, April 6th at 1pm at Rosselli Park, 2nd Street East & Capri Circle South; and Monday, May 6th at 6:30pm at the Sunset Beach Pavilion, 8000 West Gulf Boulevard.
