Under the direction of the Mayor and City Council, the City Manager develops, plans and implements goals and objectives of the City by providing executive direction to senior management staff.

The city of Treasure Island is governed by a Commissioner/Manager form of government with the City Manager, Amy Davis, appointed by the City Commission, serving as the chief executive and administrative officer of the city. The City Manager administers the day-to-day operations and services of the city. The City Manager advises the Commission on their decisions but has no formal authority to vote on laws enacted by the Commission. Once laws or other decisions are made, the City Manager is ultimately responsible for carrying out the Commission’s wishes.
