Hands-Only CPR. Anyone can do it. Everyone should!

Citizens of Treasure Island,

I am requesting your help addressing a health concern that impacts our entire community. Did you know that 70 percent of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests happen in homes? Statistically speaking, if you are called on to give CPR in an emergency, you will most likely be trying to save the life of someone you love: a spouse, a parent, a child or a friend. I am seeking participation from you, a well-respected member of our community.

We’re pleased to support the American Heart Association and its important mission to increase survival from cardiac arrest. We are asking all members within our community to please take 90 seconds of your day to learn the lifesaving skills of Hands-Only CPR. You may wonder why this is such an important cause. Your life is why!  In just 90 seconds, you can learn the two simple steps to Hands-Only CPR. Click here to watch the Hands-Only CPR video. Please watch the video then share the link with family and friends.

If you would like to get additional Hands Only CPR training, please contact Treasure Island Fire Rescue at 727-547-4590. We offer a class to the public on the last Wednesday of every month from 6-9pm in the Garden Room at the Treasure Island Community Center. Class size is limited to twelve participants on a first come-first served basis.

Thank you for learning how to save a life,
