Annual Rotary Tennis and Golf Challenge - 2024 Dates TBD

The Gulf Beaches Rotary Club and the City of Treasure Island are again joining forces to hold the 24th Annual Rotary Tennis and Golf Challenge on Feb. 24-25 at the Treasure Bay Golf and Tennis Center, 10315 Paradise Boulevard. The Tennis Challenge will be a men’s and women’s doubles Round Robin for players of all playing levels and abilities starting at 9 a.m. The Golf Challenge will be a men’s and women’s twosome scramble for all players of all playing abilities starting at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25.
The proceeds of the event will benefit the Treasure Island Recreation Department children’s programs, Treasure Bay tennis programs for juniors and the Gulf Beaches Rotary Foundation. The cost for the tennis tournament is $25 per player, which includes play, a goodie bag, prizes, and a raffle. The event will also be accompanied by a silent auction that includes tennis racquets, hotel and restaurant packages, and much more. The tournament and auction are open to the public and you need not be a player to bid on the silent auction items. Food and beverage concessions will be available throughout the event.
There will be a reception and silent auction preview at the Treasure Island Community Center on Friday, Feb. 25 from 6-9 p.m., with a catered dinner by Simply Maggies for a cost of $25 per person. Reservations for the dinner must be made in advance by calling Treasure Bay or the Treasure Island Recreation Department.

Spring It On - Music in the Park
March 4 | 6-10 p.m.

The inaugural Spring It On music in the park will take place on March 4 from 6-10 p.m. The location of this music event will be held at Treasure Island Community Park. There will be live music starting at 6 p.m. with a headliner beginning at 8 p.m. There will be food and beverage for purchase as well as a raffle.

Treasure The Island Day - Community Appreciation & Earth Day Celebration - April 15, 2023

The City of Treasure Island presents the 5th Annual Community Appreciation Day and Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 15 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Treasure Island Community Center and Park located at One Park Place @ 106th Avenue. There will be a Bicycle Rodeo with FREE helmets for all participants as well as drawings for bicycles. Bicycle Rodeo participants should bring their own bicycles.
Additional activities will include a showcase of the city’s various departments and community organizations; Petting Zoo with Pony Rides; Vehicle Extrication Demo; Touch-A-Truck; an inflatable Atomic Obstacle Course; arts and crafts projects and music provided by EMCEE Johnnie G.
The Tampa Bay Estuary Program will also be on-site in celebration of Earth Day and visitors will have a chance to learn about the city’s sustainability initiatives.
Kona Ice and other food and beverage concessions will be available.
The event is FREE to the public.

Bandingo

The original Bandigo is Tampa Bay's original game show that combines bands, Bingo, trivia, game shows and interactive entertainment!
Bandingo is a new and interactive game for all ages. They have more than 100 original Bandingo playlists and which include more than 5,000 songs

We're gonna rock, gonna rock, around the clock when Treasure Island's favorite block party starts rocking around the clock tower downtown on Saturday, May 6 from 6- 10 p.m.
The fun starts at 6 p.m. with one of Tampa Bay's fastest-growing game shows, Bandingo®, The Original Bandingo® game show combines bands, Bingo, trivia, karaoke and interactive entertainment.
Then the block begins to rock when #NoFilter takes to the stage at 8 p.m.
#NoFilter creates a one-of-a-kind, concert-style experience featuring four singer-musicians. Each member plays multiple instruments alongside rich, original backing sounds and elaborate vocals.
While everyone rocks to the music (bands TBD), downtown restaurants will be offering up a full menu and outdoor dining while other businesses and vendors set up shop to showcase some of their goods and services. It's an evening to let loose, have some fun, and rock around our charming beach community.
Traffic detour routes during Rock Around the Clock:
107th Avenue will be closed on Saturday, May 6 between the hours of 3-11 p.m. from 1st Street East to Gulf Boulevard. East and westbound traffic can use 108th Avenue, 106th Avenue and 104th Avenue as alternate routes.
Metered parking will be available at the Treasure Island City Hall, located at 120 108th Avenue; and at the Treasure Community Center and Park located at Gulf Boulevard and 106th Avenue (behind Walgreens).
Barktoberfest

Barktoberfest will take place Sunday, Oct. 29 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the John Morroni Memorial Dog Park at Rosselli Park, 11650 Capri Circle S., Treasure Island. There will be a doggie costume contest at noon with registration beginning at 11 a.m.
Visitors will also be treated to music, giveaways, food, beverages, vendors, pet adoptions, and more.
Halloween Trick-or-Treat Trail

The city of Treasure Island wants your little ghouls and goblins to have a howling good time this Halloween season by hosting a Trick-or-Treat Trail on Oct. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Treasure Bay Golf, Tennis & Recreation Center, 10315 Paradise Blvd.
There will be prizes for costumes, interactive entertainers, goody bags, trick-or-treating, inflatables, drinks and more. The costume contest will begin at 7 p.m. Bring a pail and enjoy the trick-or-treat trail!

Sanding Ovations

See Treasure Island’s beach come to life at the annual Sanding Ovations event happening in November 2023. See what happens when master sculptors use their imaginations and turn piles of sand and buckets of water into “outSANDing” works of art.
The masterful exhibition of sand sculpting talent at a world-class level is an enormous appeal, supplemented by the sponsor sculptures created by Treasure Island’s own Meredith and Dan Doubleday of Sanding Ovations professional sand sculptors. Sculptors from around the world will head to Treasure Island to show off their talents and bring the sand to life.
Visitors will also enjoy a beach food court, beer garden and arts and crafts marketplace. Kites and night fly’s will be provided by Windworks of Maderia Beach. With fireworks lighting up the night sky on Saturday, and local, regional, and national touring bands making waves throughout the event.
Sanding Ovations is free and open to the public.
History of Sanding Ovations
Florida was also home to the world’s largest sandcastle in 1985. Florida Governor Jeb Bush proclaimed Treasure Island as the Sand Sculpture Capital of Florida in 2001. This is what helped lead to the creation of Sanding Ovations, an annual sand sculpting exhibition and competition. Master sand sculptors from around the world come to Treasure Island to create sand masterpieces for everyone to enjoy.
Holiday Lighted Boat Parade

Join us as we celebrate the 37th Annual Treasure Island Lighted Boat Parade on Saturday, Dec. 16. The Treasure Island Boat Parade is a dazzling nautical spectacle featuring a variety of boats, and one of the largest lighted boat parades in the Tampa Bay area!
Festivities kick off on Thursday, Dec. 14 at Treasure Bay Golf & Tennis (10315 Paradise Blvd) with the Captain's Party & Raffle from 6-8 p.m. There will be food & drinks, a raffle ticket for each attendee with great prizes, and last-minute Boat Parade registration.
A Holiday Celebration will be held at Treasure Bay Golf & Tennis on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 5-7 p.m. where the Holiday Lighted Boat Parade will begin. At this SPECTACULAR viewing spot, there will be a DJ, a visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus, interactive entertainers, and food/beverage concessions.
The parade will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m. just south of the Treasure Island Causeway. The route travels south of Paradise Island, back through the Treasure Island Causeway, around the Isles of Palms and Capri, and finishes at John’s Pass.
